Depending on the fiction, looks like this might be a bad guy? Seems like he's controlling the freaky tapeworm walker thing.

I like the textures on the fleshy landscape/monster! The wrinkles, folds, and holes are great.

As far as shading, it seems like you know what you're doing - looks like a mixed gradient/cel shading, and you've got an idea of where to take it. I agree on the foreground arm, if it's as far forward as you say it is.

I feel like background/skybox are just vague enough to fit the fleshy setting, since the major focus is on the characters, and the monster seems to extend enough into the background to give some feeling of distance.

Your other concern on color could be explained through this landscape anyways - it seems like that ecosystem's colors would fit with the light red of that fleshy ground.

Haha, it is freaky indeed, but then again it very otherworldly in origin. Who is controlling who will actually be a major point in the full version: The monster's all about magnetism, and by extension its faction of defenders represented by the dude in the picture. Maybe he's in charge and giving it a hand sign command. Maybe the monster's literally playing him like a puppet and magnetically lifting his armor/arm.
Oh the MYSTERY.

Thanks for your feedback! And yeah it's all very red and red because of tons of iron and rust. What isn't naturally red basically gets a face full of red sand thrown its way.

A gatling gun for main damage, and a pistol for stragglers and cover fire during gatling gun reloads - you two are made for each other! And I hope the zombie virus fluid doesn't ruin that food.

I like the comic style, and I also admire artists that take the time for more detailed backgrounds like that shop.

I wish the two of you many safe, happy days killing zombies together.

Thank you.
I'm glad you liked the style and the backgrounds, I think they really matter in this media.

I hope you survive in this upcoming apocalypse my friend.

The lighting on the hair really stands out in this, and the shading on the wrinkles is great! I also like how she's got a Tim Burton's "Corpse Bride" feel about her with how frail she seems.

I haven't kept up with a lot of shows, but the TV cartoon style comes across pretty well in this, especially with the thick outermost linework on the guy. Most of the wrinkle and muscle detailing is well-placed - for superhero, "overly-muscled," characters, I'd have a lot of trouble figuring out anatomical muscle placement for the right wrinkles and shadows on clothes, etc. For the maple leaf logo, I'd wonder about how it'd wrap around wrinkles, but for the TV cartoon style it's perfect.

Nice job!

Nice! It's almost uncanny how well the shadows, textures, and wrinkle detail come together in his face, and the frayed clothing edges came out well. The eye really stands out in this piece.

Great lines and poses! I'm not all that familiar with simulating textures for the armor and all, so I like how you outlined the armor edges and added some shine to give it that look.

The perspectives are done well - I just wouldn't know how to set a light source for the shading if I had a line of light like that.

Uh, hi.
